Intact, Leave Your Mark By Andrew de Zen

Director Andrew de Zen approached this film for Intact, supporters of the Canadian Olympic speed skating team, as a technical challenge as much as a creative one: how do you make the audience feel the velocity, pressure and point of view of an Olympic speed skater? Working closely with DP Oliver Millar, he rejected a heavier motion-control approach in favour of custom lightweight rigs that could stay embedded in the action. The result was a visual language that felt fast, precise and immersive, shaped through rigorous testing, previs and close collaboration with the camera and grip teams.
