Directed by DROOL’s Jasper Cable Alexander, the deodorant brand Mando’s latest spot introduces an unlikely anti-hero - a man who papers over life’s problems just enough to get by, never quite dealing with what’s festering underneath. He avoids confrontation, embraces half-measures, and lets B.O. hang around longer than it ever should. Then there’s Mando Man: the hard-working, no-excuses alternative. No cover-ups. No shortcuts. No mercy for lingering odour. What follows is a strange, funny collision of attitudes, where avoidance meets accountability and compromise finally gets called out. Shot on film and treated more like a short than a commercial, Cable Alexander builds his comedy through character, texture, and obsessive detail - rewarding anyone willing to look past the surface and into the mess. The humour is underscored by a straight-faced country-and-western track that treats taking the easy way out like something worth singing about.

“From day one, the Mirimar team led with creativity, and that spirit carried through as we built this weird, funny little world together. We treated it like a short film, shooting on film, building characters, and layering in tiny details – from the caravan’s random trinkets to a bizarre chihuahua obsession – that brought it all to life. If nothing else, I’ve learned to always keep my armpits clean and fresh, because I’ve seen what happens when you don’t.”
