Peas on earth By Leve Kühl

Director's Works

We were supposed to run this before Christmas. We didn’t. Consider this our belated festive amends - because technically, it’s still Christmas somewhere, and awkward dinner table confessions never go out of season. This short unravels when a young British man brings his new boyfriend home for Christmas, and one seemingly innocent question detonates the table. What follows is a slippery, funny, and unexpectedly tender spiral into how they actually met - or the version that feels safest to tell. Even better timing now: director Leve Kuhl has just signed to Riff Raff’s Nursery of Evil, home to their sharpest up-and-coming talents. A drop-of-the-day we’re very happy to be late for.

Leve Kühl: “We held a live casting to test various actor pairings and see what felt right. From early on, Adam and Jackson stood out, their chemistry was just instant. Authenticity was key for us, which is why we only cast from within the queer community, to reflect it honestly on screen.”
