Ffern, Pink Sky at Night By Naghmeh Pour

Director's Works

Ffern’s back with another hit of Arcadian haze and this time it smells like British Summer Time. New—land director Naghmeh Pour bottles the essence in this sun-dappled film for the seasonal fragrance brand, starring Bill Nighy and shot on 16mm by Ruben Woodin Dechamps.

A pink sky, a Cornish road, and an ice cream van named Lola. In Naghmeh Pour’s new film for seasonal fragrance house Ffern, two siblings set out on a sun-hazed road trip, foraging pink grapefruit, marigold, and blood orange to create an ice cream that mirrors the notes of Ffern’s latest summer scent – first tasted on screen by Bill Nighy.

Born in Iran and raised in rural Denmark, Naghmeh (pictured above right) brings a rich cultural lens to her work, drawing on the visual poetry of Iranian cinema and a love of layered symbolism. Shot on 16mm by Ruben Woodin Dechamps, the film is a postcard to British summer –  green winding roads, soft pink skies, and the quiet magic of days that refuse to end.
