Shalini Adnani

A daughter follows her father to a job interview.

Shalini Adnani is a UK-based Chilean/Indian writer and director. A graduate of Bard College, Shalini initially worked in grassroots journalism in New York City gradually finding a passion for cinema. Her short films Something More Banal and Somebody's Daughter have played at festivals worldwide. Her script Yucca has been shortlisted for the Sundance Script Lab and her TV pilot The Rapture was a finalist at Atlanta Film Festival and Script Pipeline. In 2020 she is participating in Locarno's directing workshop, under the mentorship of Alice Rohrwacher where she will shoot a film which will screen at the Locarno Film Festival. She is a London Film School and Berlinale Talents Alumni. She is currently in development with feature project Kollam which took part in Torino Extended Script Lab in 2019.
