Kim Gehrig is a multi-award winning director, with a reputation for empowering, technically inventive work. Directing internationally for over 14 years, she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to shape and change culture with her campaigns. Her irreverent commercial for Libresse, ‘Viva La Vulva’, won 13 Cannes Lions, and was praised internationally for its unconstrained depiction of female bodies. Her celebrated campaign for Sport England, ‘This Girl Can’ inspired over 2 million women to take up a new sport. And her dance classic, ‘Like Sugar’ by Chaka Khan, was included in Promonews’ Best Music Videos of the Decade. Recently, Kim directed ‘Inner Saboteurs’ for Pinterest, and ‘Periods Never Sleep’, an arresting, taboo-busting commercial for Libresse. As well as ‘Strangers’ for AirBnB, which starred a family of polite, furry creatures renting a holiday home. --- Tajana Tokyo is a Sierra Leonean British director. Her work has an energetic, musical style, influenced by her professional dance career. She came to prominence as a dancer on Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer Tour and Beyonce’s Formation Tour, including the now-legendary ‘Beychella’ performance. Tajana carries the discipline of choreography into her filmmaking style, and applies dance principles to light, camera and editing. Exciting and technically dynamic, her films have a way of making audiences feel like they are physically part of the work. She broke through with her 2021 short film, ‘Back Beat’, which shone a spotlight on the resilience and kinship of black professional dancers. It premiered exclusively on NOWNESS. She has also directed music videos and live performances for Ari Lennox, CHIKA, Bas and Destiny Rogers. She is currently focused on projects in the music, live performance, fashion and branded content space. She hopes to deepen her relationship with music and tell movement-lead stories, changing the ways that audiences receive and digest music.
