Hugh Rochfort

Knucklehead

After graduating with a BA in Digital Film and Video from Southbank University, Hugh Rochfort kickstarted his directing career with 4 films for Bridgestone Tyres’ ‘No Matter What’ series. The integrated campaign featured uplifting stories of inspiring Olympic athletes across Europe, each one a tale of triumph over huge adversity – both mental and physical - showing how Bridgestone’s Brand Ambassadors had the grit and determination to stay on track & reach their destination. The campaign was a major contribution to agency WeAreFearless taking home Young Agency of the Year at the BT Sports awards the same year. Following this, Rochfort was chosen to direct W Hotel & Mixcloud’s prestigious ‘Future Rising’ series of short documentaries, featuring rising talent from the worlds of music and visual art. The series was filmed in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona, and offered a glimpse into the creative process of artists such as Eliza Doolittle, William Djoko, and Patience Harding. Rochfort’s latest advertising campaign ‘It’s Called Test for a Reason’ is for The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will emphasise both the physical and mental challenges that face the sportsmen and women who play Test Cricket, considered to be the most challenging form of the sport. Meanwhile, Rochfort has been carving a name for himself in the world of music videos, building a slate of visually stunning and emotive music videos for the likes of James Smith, Billy Locket and Icarus. He is represented worldwide by Knucklehead for commercials and music videos.
