Duncan Loudon is a British film director. His distinctive work, a thrilling meeting place between camera manipulation and multimedia experimentation, has inspired a whole cohort of young British directors. His videos are surreal, frenetic, and often peculiarly moving. In 2019 Duncan won Best New Director at the UKMVAs and Best New Alternative Video for ‘Never Change’ by Obongjayar. The video was also included in Raindance Festival’s Official Selection and won a D&AD Wood Pencil. The following year, Duncan directed films for Burberry and MCQ, as well as the music video ‘Psycho’ for Slowthai and Denzel Curry. Recently, Duncan directed videos for ‘Your Love’ by Tourist, ‘Signal From the Noise’ by BadBadNotGood and ‘Hit By A Train’ by Jeshi. He has recently shot his debut narrative short, ‘Sweat’, starring British icon Julia Davis, due to premier later this year. Duncan studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths, graduating with a first class degree.
