"We wanted to make a wedding video. But we didn’t have enough money for an actual wedding. So we had to think about how to we could make it happen." "Venezuela Riddim is the coming together of a white and black family set in the early 2000s from the perspective of the wedding videographer with a Hi8. Hak and his band come to play the part of the band who crash the wedding and end up bringing everyone together." "Tongue-in-cheek at times but with no bravado - the cast (and crew) let themselves go in a perfectly naturalistic way and it worked better than we imagined."

Directing duo Broken Antenna - aka Myles McAuliffe and Gustav Newby - grew up in Camberwell, South London, loving films and hip-hop. After getting their foot in the door working with the location department on films such as Skyfall and Made in Dagenham, the pair went on to university to study film. Broken Antenna’s fun, youthful aesthetic, mixed with an experimental approach, has attracted brands such as KFC, IKEA, Irn-Bru, Yamaha, Panasonic and the British Heart Foundation, whilst their promo work goes from strength to strength, with videos shot for Jam Baxter, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, (regular collaborator) Hak Baker, Riz Ahmed, Wiley, Kamaal Williams, and Yurufuwa Gang.
