Noel Paul
Director / Editor
Friend London
Noel Paul is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn but often associated with the UK through his long association with Friend London. The son of missionaries, Noel’s work is rooted in a fascination with cross-cultural encounter and the miscommunications that arise when people from different worlds try to understand each other. He has lived and worked all over the world, investing in experience and following whims and projects to create a body of work diverse in style but unified in sensibility. Noel is a prolific director of music videos and is particularly known for his collaborations with indie greats such as Mitski, Father John Misty, Geese, Black Midi, Slowdive, Bat For Lashes, Baxter Dury, and Chairlift, among many others. As an editor, his focus is on long-form projects. His first feature documentary, Bucks Harbor, will be screening in major festivals starting in Feb 2026.
