She has a sharp eye for discovering and developing new talent while continuing to champion and executive produce projects for SMUGGLER’s established roster of directors. Her ability to balance artistic vision with production precision has made her a trusted collaborator for both artists and directors alike.
Before joining SMUGGLER, Doonan made her mark as a commissioner at Sony Music UK, where she quickly rose to become one of the country’s leading and most sought-after music video commissioners. During her tenure, she was instrumental in shaping the visual identities of some of the UK’s most prominent artists, earning a reputation for her bold creative instincts and fearless approach to storytelling.
Doonan’s career began at some of London’s top production companies, including RSA Films and Scott Free as assistant to Ridley Scott and Somesuch, before going on to assist acclaimed filmmaker Jonathan Glazer on his feature film Under the Skin. This early exposure to cinematic craft and auteur-led storytelling continues to inform her approach to production today.
