Sharif Abdel Mawla is a film director from Amsterdam. He works on long and short formats. His work has been featured on Nowness, Variety, Director’s Library, Shots, Vogue, Hypebeast, Anotherman, I-D, Itsnicethat and more. His work received several awards and honours, including a Webby award and a Cannes Lion.
Sam Spruell (Fargo, The Hurt Locker) plays an outsider who finds his soulmate through the rhythm of music. Produced by Bonkers United (bonkers.nl) x new-land (newland.tv), and serviced locally by Horizon-T in Kosovo. The film blends performance, choreography and place into a movement-driven narrative, shot in a single day in Pristina.
