Odeal ft. Wizkid, Nights in the Sun Sahra Zadat
Sahra Zadat is a director based in Los Angeles. Born in Germany to Iranian immigrant parents, she moved to London on her own at 18, where her style was shaped by growing up within the city’s creative scene.
Inspired by human beauty, Sahra’s work centers on authenticity, emotion, and presence. Her visual style places a strong emphasis on symmetry and composition, creating imagery that always puts the artist first. She is deeply committed to empowering women through her visuals, consistently foregrounding female narratives, perspectives, and strength. Coming up as a female director, she has continuously sought to challenge conventions and create space for women, both in front of and behind the camera.
Known for her attention to detail, Sahra also excels as a creative director, seamlessly bringing together multiple creative departments to craft cohesive visions while fostering a safe, comfortable, and collaborative environment for artists on set.
Odeal and I have been working together for over four years, growing side by side and learning so much about storytelling through the process. Some of our earlier projects were shot purely for the joy of it, on my old Bolex, which made this video feel especially meaningful. After years of building creative trust, Nights in the Sun felt like the project we had always been working toward.
Having Wizkid as a feature was a big moment for Odeal, and it was important for us to capture an authentic sense of connection on camera. Me and Levi wanted the video to have its own visual language, something timeless. drawing inspiration from the warmth of Brazil and subtle Michael Jackson “You Rock My World” energy.
The strong dance element, carried by a single female dancer,Tsola, became the spiritual thread tying everything together for us. To Levi and me, this song feels like a hot summer night you never forget and we wanted the video to leave the same feeling.
