A round of golf is never perfect. But the pursuit of it? That’s where the magic lies. That’s the heart of Garmin’s latest ad, created with Revolver Films and director Ross Allen. Rather than showcasing flawless swings or professional precision, the film celebrates the deeply personal, often emotional journey of golfers of all ages. Shot across California with real players aged 14 to 78, every frame carries a sense of lived-in authenticity.
Golf is full of contradictions: joy and frustration, ritual and randomness, confidence and collapse — sometimes all in the same round. “We built this film from the inside out,” says Ross Allen. “We weren’t trying to impress. We wanted to move people. Every shot had to matter — a first birdie, a heartbreaking miss — it all had to feel real.”
“This film taps into something golfers everywhere know,” adds Garmin Executive Creative Director Brian Brooker. “You’ll never play a perfect round — but you’ll always try. We’ve Got Your Game isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, every round, and trying again.”
