Pablo Tapia Pla is a filmmaker from Mexico, raised in Puerto Rico. He works between New York and Europe. His work combines impressionistic visuals with emotional storytelling and includes collaborations with brands such as Armani, Chanel, Dior, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton. His short film The Sun Is In My Eyes premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival and later premiered online on NOWNESS.

The Sun Is In My Eyes explores longing and memory — the feeling of reaching for something that no longer exists. The film moves through emotion rather than narrative, blurring the line between reality and memory.

Shot on 35mm in and around New York, it reflects a city both familiar and distant. Working closely with cinematographer Mika Altskan and the cast, the goal was to create a film that feels intuitive and lived-in, where moments are experienced rather than explained.
