Miles Ryan is a New York–based director, cinematographer, and former Division I athlete whose work blends cinematic polish with raw, authentic storytelling. His films capture the texture of everyday life and is driven by a commitment to honest, culturally rooted stories that reflect both ambition and the foundations we come from.
This film captures the idea that before any athlete reaches the bright lights, they must first earn their name on the streets that raised them. Set in a warm, vintage living room, a young athlete shares his dream of making the big leagues with his uncle, whose steady wisdom grounds the moment: “You’ve got to make it local first."
