Margaret Howell, Held by light Matteo Del Maestro
Left a career in law to make things for screens. While some contend with parental disappointment early by becoming a director right out of school, I lured mine into a false sense of security first. I bring the same surprising, out-the-box creativity to all my projects.
The intention was to create a film that focuses on interaction. Interaction of the dancer to the environment, nature to the city, light to shadow, and clothing to movement. The sound was built to shape these relationships through discord and harmony.
