Lego, Never Stop Playing Los Pérez
Los Pérez is the moniker of Tania Verduzco (MX) and Adrián Pérez (ES), writers and filmmakers co-directing since they met in film school.
Over the years they’ve developed together a distinctive look through their work for brands like LEGO, Apple, Tinder, Paramount+, Samsung, Xbox, Coca-Cola, Klarna, Taco Bell, and collaborations with actors and pop artists such as Tom Holland Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, Jack Whitehall, Selena Gomez, ASAP Rocky and Doja Cat.
The cinematic scope of their work has been recognised internationally with awards from Cannes, AICP, ADCE, Ciclope, Shots, Shark Awards, Berlin Commercial, AWARD, Club de Creativos, Fubiz, LBBOnline, LIA, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Cannes Young Directors Award, IndieWire and 1.4, among others.
Never Stop Playing' is a two minute film directed by Los Perez to champion LEGO's 'Rebuild the World' global campaign. Time Based Arts had the amazing opportunity to work across the duration of the project from initial concepts, shot previsualisation, eventually leading to post production and grade. Tom Holland portrays a range of characters in a diverse universe, ranging from a space army commander to an uptight CEO. This provided a huge variety of animation and post challenges, from creating a Lego phoenix that flies around the globe, to building a threatening robot army that marches against the humans on a distant plane
