Director's Works
I make commercials for a living, sandwiches for eating, and family films for therapy.
"Apartment 51" is the last short film of a family trilogy of films, created initially as therapy (meant solely for my mental health - and the eyes of our family and friends) and eventually morphing into films released to the general public - thanks in large part to the relentless cajoling from my wife... sensing others might relate... or at least find them funny. The first short film, "Apartment 8 1/2," was made in 2020 during COVID lockdown, when my wife and I lived in a studio apartment in New York City - and when I was losing my mind. The second, "Apartment 9," was made during the first 6 months of our daughter Lily's birth - when I was figuring out what it meant to be a dad... and losing my mind. And the third (and final installment), "Apartment 51," was made after our second daughter's birth, when I suddenly felt like I was living in the present, the past, and the future - all at once... and possibly losing my mind... again.
