Director's Works
Haderlump, Obscura Terra Anastasja Black
Anastasja Black is a director working in commercials and music videos. Her journey began while she was studying fashion in London, where she bought her first camera and started capturing people on the street. That experience sparked her passion for filmmaking.
She has worked across many roles—including runner, assistant director, producer, editor, gaffer, and camera operator—before getting her first opportunity to direct a music video. It was love at first sight, and she has remained dedicated to directing ever since.
What drives her is crafting dynamic, high-energy visuals that stay with the audience. She draws inspiration from youth culture, fast cuts, bold imagery, and a modern aesthetic, always aiming to create work that not only looks striking but feels alive.
Obscura Terra was created to translate Haderlump’s identity into a fashion film that feels raw, instinctive, and alive. Rather than presenting clothing in a conventional way, the aim was to build a world around the brand — one that merges underground energy, folklore, and high-fashion attitude.
The process was highly collaborative and intentionally fluid. Locations, casting, and visual ideas evolved constantly, allowing unexpected elements to shape the final film. What began as a minimal concept grew into something more surreal and sculptural, using stark environments, strong silhouettes, and powerful physical presence to elevate the garments beyond styling and into storytelling.
Challenges during production became creative catalysts. Each shift pushed the film toward a more authentic expression of movement, texture, and mood — aligning perfectly with the brand’s bold, unpolished aesthetic.
At its core, Obscura Terra is about fashion as feeling rather than form. It’s not just about how the clothes look, but how they move, breathe, and exist within a charged atmosphere. The result is a fashion film driven by energy, intuition, and visual impact.
