Amara Abbas is an American-Pakistani filmmaker and commercial director represented by Iconoclast. Born and raised in Chicago and now based in New York, she began her creative career in advertising and art direction — including a stint as an in-house Art Director at Apple, where she helped shape award-winning campaigns across the iPhone, iOS, and iPad brands. Her work spans commercials, music videos, and short films, marked by a deep curiosity about people, identity, and culture, and has earned recognition such as inclusion in The One Club’s Young Guns 20 list of emerging creatives. Her recent work includes projects for major brands and artists, blending striking imagery with emotionally grounded storytelling.
