Amandine Thomas and Gerardo Coello Escalante are the creative duo THUMPER. Their first short film together, Viaje de Negocios, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2024 and went on to receive a 2025 Ariel Awards nomination. Their second short film, SUSANA, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2025 and has won top awards at Provincetown, Hollyshorts, Palm Springs Shortfest, and Desertscape. Their documentary short hello beautiful please follow back premiered on Vimeo Staff Picks and Short of the Week and was an official selection at Palm Springs Shortfest 2025 and The Smalls 2025. The third narrative short film of their trilogy, Albatross, produced with Antigravity Academy and Dolby, is premiering at Sundance Film Festival 2026. The duo have served various multiple creative and logistical roles on their projects, whether writing, directing, editing, producing or casting.
