Salomon, Whisper Void Alice Fassi
Alice Fassi is an Italian director based in Milan. Her films have been selected and awarded at International Film Festivals such as “1.4”, "BFI", “A Shaded View on Fashion”, “Berlin Commercial”, “Epica Awards”, "Zinebi" and others.
Her imprints are narratives and visual aesthetics based on surreal atmospheres and narratives. She likes to blend different genres, especially adding a comic twist to her stories.
Her deep curiosity in life is reflected by a special interest in everyday Nonsense. She recently directed "Honey Boy," a music video for Purple Disco Machine that was shortlisted at the Young Directors Awards. Her film “Choco Hoax” also won two prices at Berlin Commercial.
At the latest UKMVAs, Alice won the award for Best Alternative Video for her music video “Onions” for the band CULTS.
« The guiding idea was “style whispers, personality echoes.”, says Alice « That mantra shaped everything : from the sound design (the contrast between the ASMR-like sounds/ the crew’s murmurs, and the bold singer performance) and even the production design, with its miniature room wrapped in bold sound-absorbing panels and tiny buildings sprouting megaphones. There are references to sound everywhere.
I hope the film looks like a playful meta-cinematic experience as I conceived it. »
