Cadence director Mitch Ryan follows up his earlier Party 4 U collaboration with Charli XCX with House—a stunningly shot, deeply unsettling new video marking the first of several original tracks for Emerald Fennell’s forthcoming Wuthering Heights movie. The soundtrack, a collaboration between Charli XCX and Velvet Underground legend John Cale, weaves an increasingly ominous monologue that threads through the filmic world Ryan constructs. Leaning into the story’s darkly gothic undercurrent, Ryan’s direction sharpens every beat with a knife-edge sense of unease.
