Sam Finney, Whitegoat Lakes, north of Banff National Park
As a cinematographer Sam Finney has shot films for the perfumery Ffern in idyllic Arcadian settings in Europe – usually tying the narrative into the seasonal harvest for the scent. This time as director and DoP shooting on 16mm he has created this lyrical film of skaters on a frozen Canadian lake – the grace and beauty shining through without any reference to the perfume.
