Our Brilliant Filmmaking Awards

The 1.4 Awards Show celebrates the world’s most creative filmmakers.

Last year the films we screened were spectacular and the party was too. This year things can only get better.
The curation of the sharpest and smartest work from both new and established directors is what made the night a hotbed of talent and let’s be honest; hedonism.

We ate divine food, drank cocktails forever, partied with endless supplies of beer, wine and bubbly, met old friends, made new contacts and talked and talked about what we all love – making films. So we thought we’d do it all over again, with new twists and surprises of course.

As many of those who were shortlisted or who were on the 1.4 long-list know, names and work take a leap in recognition by international production companies, labels, agencies and of course your filmmaking peers.

The long list of entries for the next 1.4 Awards is drawn up by 1.4, and an international jury of commissioners and curators of creative work select the short list. The final winners will be chosen by 1.4.

There are medals to be won! Gold and Silver! For work that is fresh and fantastic.
