Qweens’ Speech, a film for magazine Dazed, seeks to highlight the more urgent and alternative message that the UK needs to hear – that of queer liberation, the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, and solidarity with people of all sexualities and identities. Long live our Qweens.

Zhang + Knight are a male-female directing duo from the UK. They began their career crafting beautiful and enigmatic music videos for the likes of NAO, Sigrid and EDEN. Their uniquely dreamy pieces won them Best New Director at the UKMVAs in 2018, and again at the Kinsale Shark Awards in 2019. They now work across the fields of drama, commercials and music videos. Driven by striking visuals and poetic storytelling they love to craft emotional and enigmatic worlds within their films.
