Megaforce

Riff Raff Films

As the world opens up again, the campaign explores this spirit through a youthful, dreamlike lens. For the campaign film, Riccardo collaborated on the creative and film direction with Megaforce to bring the story to life. It features four bold individuals who have the power to explore and discover, as they take us on a journey set amongst the natural beauty of the British countryside. A spirit of duality – blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. They bound weightlessly through fields, defying gravity as they take flight – resisting convention. New perspectives are explored as they jump and twist through towering forests. As they float across a lake, they challenge the obstacles of the elements and the natural world. At the end of this hyperreal dreamscape, the four characters come together magnetically, becoming one entity flying through the sky, united in their differences. A symbol for our interconnectedness with nature and each other.

Megaforce are Leo Berne, Clement Gallet, Charles Brisgand and Raphaël Rodriguez. The four French directors are from a variety of backgrounds in graphic arts, design, photography and advertising; the resulting fresh approach of these combined skills, and an ability to use seamless transitions in their work brought them to the attention of Riff Raff Films in 2010. Their formative career years were spent directing videos for the likes of Late of the Pier, Kid Cudi, Metronomy and Two Door Cinema Club, who are now all a bit more famous than they were then. In the years since, they have made two Apple commercials along with the comedy genius that is Snackerkist for Saatchi & Saatchi London, and have worked with commercial clients including Instagram, Burberry, Dior, Lacoste, Bacardi, BBC Sounds, Lynx AXE, Assassin’s Creed, IKEA, Nike and Finish. March 2018 saw the launch of Nike “Nothing Beats a Londoner” produced by Riff Raff and Wieden+Kennedy London to rave reviews, as well as becoming the most decorated commercial of the last 40 years at D&AD. Two years later, they both wrote and directed Burberry’s “Festive” campaign, which alongside their previous Lacoste film garnered a gratifying number of plaudits and awards. Megaforce have been listed amongst Televisual’s top 10 Directors between 2015 and 2021 (taking top spot this year), AdAge’s top three directors over the same period, and were crowned Best Directors in Campaign Magazine’s of 2018.
