Flying High, Longlist - Music Video

El Columpio Asesino, Sirenas de Mediodía

Amar Hernández

Without missing a beat and with the "chasing" concept as a premise, I tried to play with ambiguity, deconstruction, and decontextualized elements. The intention was to show the confusion and the irrational, the dark and the human side of the character, letting myself be carried away by the formal and the narrative in equal measure. A disturbing mix between paranoia and desire, a conflict between reason and instinct, that's how I would describe this music-video.

Naturalness and nature, body and soul, lights and shadows. Amar’s passion for the audiovisual originates in the skateboarding culture and is deeply influenced by music and the subtleties of the world that surrounds him. Liberation is a concept that predominates in his artistic path, and he’s willing to break taboos and exalt beauty in all its forms. He has worked for agencies such as Publicis or Saatchi&Saatchi and obtained several recognitions along his career, including «Best Novel Director» in the Soundie Festival in Barcelona and three Staff Picks in Vimeo. He has also been nominated at international festivals such as the UK Music Video Awards and the NYC Independent Film Festival.
