Beavertown Brewery, Flightmare

Alice Bloomfield

Black Dog Films

Beavertown Brewery wanted to take Halloween to new heights with the launch of ‘Flightmare’, a three-minute animated short film and graphic novel that takes viewers on a dimension bending visual trip. Inspired by strange happenings in the Bermuda Triangle, the story which is hand-illustrated by Beavertown’s creative director, Nick Dwyer and animated by Black Dog Film’s Alice Bloomfield, continues to push the brewery’s unique, visually driven creative approach to Halloween.

Working across both traditional and digital mediums, the work of London based illustrator Alice Bloomfield embraces human emotion, sex, and love through illustrated and animated works. Alice signed to Black Dog Films in 2021 after being the first recipient of the BFI Future Film Festival and Black Dog Films Award. Alice’s linear, figurative style is reminiscent of manga with cool hues and rich compositions. Describing her art as “opulent, perturbing and sleazy”, Alice believes in exploring as many mediums as possible, adding to her extensive list of painting, music video, sets, commercial editorial, and digital projections. Alice’s recent collaborations include award-winning immersive projects, fashion collaborations, and animated commercial campaigns for the likes of Ninja Tune, TSHA, Rihanna, Netflix, and Beavertown.
