Pegah Farahmand
Creative Director of Nonlinear Programming

Pegah Farahmand is currently Creative Director of a new division of The Walt Disney Company International, where she is developing and producing a number of scripted and factual entertainment programmes for a global audience of young women.
Previously, she was at Channel 4 as the Editor of their short form arts strand Random Acts, as well as a Commissioning Editor for the channel’s digital arm All4, working alongside the linear commissioners to find synergy between their most popular programmes and new formats for their digital platforms.
The majority of Pegah’s early career was spent spearheading the production department of Vice Media in the UK. As one of the company’s first production hires, she was intrinsic to the growth of Vice’s production and video arm. In her time there she produced and directed documentaries, entertainment formats and branded content for shows in over 25 countries, working alongside filmmakers such as Spike Jonze, Jonathan Glazer and Sally Potter.
She also ran The Creators Project, Vice’s global partnership with Intel, showcasing artists who use technology to push the boundaries of creative expression.
Pegah is on the board of advisory for Sheffield Documentary Festival, Edinburgh International TV Festival and has been on the judging panel for the BAFTA Awards and the Jarman Awards.
