When was the last time you felt truly alive and inspired, and what triggered it?
Well, firstly, I think this summer in Sicily as I was sailing in the middle of a William Turner painting with some good friends. But reconsidering your question more deeply, I would say that the last time I felt truly alive and inspired was at the funeral of a friend’s son. First because more and more I believe that funerals are an important moment to say goodbye, and also it is a time to celebrate and size up life: The life and values of someone who just died, but also to consider our own life and values. What triggered it? The power of the words that people were formulating. The emotion, the truth and bravery from that strange sunny moment in July... I still think about it and it helps me a bit to see life differently.
