A former professional footballer, William spent seven years playing at the highest level with Tottenham Hotspur and Burton Albion in the EFL Championship.
Since entering the world of directing/filmmaking he has spent the majority creating within the sports and music realm, visually looking to give his films a unique identity. His work is heavily influenced by personal experience and art mediums of all forms as he is continuously looking to draw fresh inspiration to push boundaries.
This film was shot entirely in Johannesburg to facilitate the numerous amapiano artists from across Africa to come together and be present for shooting. It also allowed us to cast a fully authentic group of local extras.
