With her Dutch-Iranian background, Rosita Safakisch focuses on themes such as inclusivity, women’s rights, LGBTQ representation, and multiculturalism. These subjects form the core of her work, in which she tells stories that are not only visually strong but also create social impact.
Xenia Lodewijks her style is characterized by a dreamy, surreal visual language in which emotions and atmospheres take the lead. She draws inspiration from themes such as mythology, psychology, philosophy, feminism, and transience, exploring how these translate into the inner life of the human being. Film history and photography are important sources of inspiration, through which she strives for depth, alienation, and aesthetic intensity. Xenia’s work invites introspection and takes the viewer into worlds where reality and imagination flow into one another.
Nox Aeterna (Latin for “the everlasting night”) is a short, experimental, and visually poetic film that aims to inspire young people to discover and express their true selves, free from societal expectations and fixed labels. In a time when many struggle with pressure and identity, the film offers an alternative view: identity is not static, but fluid, layered, and constantly evolving.
