Razan Alsoghayer is a Saudi film director and producer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication from King Faisal University and studied filmmaking at La Fémis in Paris. She later earned a filmmaking certificate from the National Film & Television School and recently completed a master’s degree in Film Studies at the University of Amsterdam.

Razan began her career as an editor before transitioning into directing and producing. Her short film Breath (2019) screened at international festivals, including the Red Sea International Film Festival. Her short film The Day I Lost Myself (2021) is available on Netflix MENA as part of New Saudi Voices. Her latest short film, The Last Cigarette, shot on 35mm in Italy, is currently in its festival run. Her debut feature film, Unbraided, is in development and was selected for the Red Sea Labs × Torino Film Lab 2026. Her upcoming short film, Son of Badriyah, is in post-production and slated for festival release in 2026.
