Bather, Do You Love Me, Like I Love You? Luke Nairn
Luke Nairn is a Toronto-based director specializing in visually expressive and stylized commercial content, fashion films, and music videos. His creative approach is deeply influenced by arthouse cinema, graphic design, and avant-garde aesthetics- always pushing boundaries to deliver thought-provoking, visually striking narratives. Luke's body of work is marked by a strong design sensibility and a commitment to analog textures, including film formats such as 35mm, 16mm, Super-8, and digital hybrids, giving his visuals a timeless, tactile quality. His projects feel meticulous, immersive, and cinematic in scope. His approach produces work that feels fresh and emotionally resonant, seamlessly bridging the worlds of commercial and narrative filmmaking.
“From the outset, we wanted to make a piece that strayed away from that cool/detached fashion film feeling. We wanted to build a world that felt honest to how love lives in people’s lives: it can be messy, unresolved & sometimes unsaid,” said director Luke Nairn. “I’ve been wanting to shoot in Baja Sur for a while now and had some dear local friends help us find landscapes that were really going to help hold these emotions we needed in order to tell the story.
