Director's Works
Derkan Dogan is a writer/director from London, United Kingdom. With a background in illustration and painting Derkan has always been a visual artist of some sorts, he eventually started to direct after completing his MA in illustration at Falmouth. His first short film Mothers and Daughters was officially selected in Manchester Film Festival 2022, Romford Film Festival 2023, amongst many others internationally. His second short film 'The Children of Orpheus' is an experimental film loosely based on myth of Orpheus that chaotically combines dance, music and sound. It got into Aesthetica where it was screened in the opening night with 4 others. Suffolk Short Film Festival where it won Unique Perspectives Award, Bucharest International Dance Film Festival, Dark room Festival, amongst others.
